Rhode Island has no drive-thru safari parks and no drive-through wildlife roads; it’s the smallest state, with no space for big herds. The two best wildlife stops are a classic walk-through zoo in Providence and a free coastal refuge near Newport, where you park and stroll short trails. For a true drive-thru, Connecticut’s Action Wildlife Foundation and Massachusetts’ Parker River refuge drive are the closest options.
- Roger Williams Park Zoo (Providence)
- Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge (Middletown)
